Colleges of Engineering and ACES Professor Elliott-Litchfield received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University. He worked in industry for four years, and since 1986 he has been on the faculty of the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department at UIUC. He served as an Assistant Dean in the Engineering Undergraduate Programs Office from 1999 through 2015 and directed the AE3, Creativity, IEFX, IPENG, and LINC programs during that time. He is founder of Sun Buckets, Inc. whose mission is to develop global solutions for the energy impoverished, conducts research on heat and mass transfer, and teaches Creativity, Innovation, and Vision and Introduction to ILE.
