Collaborations

The Technology Entrepreneur Center collaborates with multiple universities on a national level on a variety of programs.

In 2001, the Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and the Technology Entrepreneur Center recognized the value in establishing an organization that would provide a forum for sharing best practices and methods for overcoming challenges unique to Midwest engineering entrepreneurship centers. The annual Midwest Engineering Entrepreneurship Network (M.E.E.N.) was created. Examples of Universities that have participated are: Penn State, Wayne State, Illinois Institute of Technology, Michigan Technological University, Northwestern University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Akron, University of Iowa, University of Michigan, University of Minnesota and others.

In 2012, TEC created the annual Entrepreneurial Living-Learning Community (ELLC) Roundtable in order to give leaders of ELLCs the opportunity to gather in one spot for shared discussion and networking opportunities. Staff from campuses that are considering starting ELLCs also benefit greatly from attending this conference. Examples of Universities that have participated are: Drexel University, Georgia College, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, University of Florida, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Arizona State, Georgia Tech and others.
