Riya Gupta

Riya joined TEC as Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator in October 2025. She holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and brings a strong foundation in project management, business analysis and student program development. 

Before joining TEC, Riya worked in project management at a non-profit organization and mentored underrepresented high school students through the Emerging Business Leaders Program at Gies College of Business. Her experience as a Teaching Assistant and Business Analyst has equipped her with analytical skills, cross-cultural perspective, and a passion for empowering students.

In her position with TEC, Riya will coordinate innovative programs that support student entrepreneurs, help University of Illinois students transform their ideas into meaningful ventures and foster an entrepreneurial mindset.
