Eligibility
- This Certificate can be completed in two semesters and is available to Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students in all majors.
- Applicants must have:
- A background in elementary data structures (lists, stacks, queues, and trees) and their implementation using an object-oriented programming language, probability theory and statistics with applications to computer science, and a basic understanding of interface design, implementation, and evaluation. These requirements are fulfilled by having taken CS 225 and CS 361, or equivalent courses in these topics.
- Experience in user interface design. This requirement can be fulfilled by:
- Taking or having taken CS 409,
- Taking or having taken DTX 495 UX (applicants without a programming background), or
- Demonstrating an understanding of interface design, implementation, and evaluation.
